HOREN, ZIEN, ZWIJGEN

‘Horen, Zien, Zwijgen’ follows the tumultuous relationship between M and W, and their efforts to neglect reality. As M and W move through their daily fights, we see them fall into old habits, make attempts to make up, and eventually, hit a point of no return. But even then, with reality bleeding on the floor, imagination still manages to push the truth away.

Underscored with Profokiev’s Dance of the Knights and inspired by the proverb ‘Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil’, this physical piece is a dramatic translation of what happens when we shut ourselves off from telltale signs of habitual violence.
