‘Cataclysmic’ is about Apocalypse. A one-act, one-person show set in traverse, it offers the audience an immersive domestic space littered with rubbish, crisps, photos, and grief; a living bedroom that facilitates critical examination of the future.
‘Cataclysmic’ is about love. A mostly non-verbal piece inspired by clowning, it tells the story of Andy through movement and audience engagement to create a visceral experience, unrestricted by language, open to translation, and rooted firmly in the present.
‘Cataclysmic’ is about acceptance. Diegetic sound from a vintage radio and CRT TV create an atmosphere rich with nostalgia, underscoring our own consideration of how we hold onto the past.
A new play by Ollie Wimbush. In ‘Cataclysmic’, I portrayed the role of Andy.
